Preface
This glossary is one in a series which was produced by the Interpreter/Translator Program at Arctic College, Nunatta Campus. It contains a trilingual list of technical terms with simplified English definitions which we believe will be a useful tool for I/T's working in specialty areas.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Charles Pastori for his assistance to our program, and to all the students and staff of the program who contributed to making this publication a reality. Thanks are due to Makee Kakkik, Thoretta Iyerak, Elisapee Ikkidluak, Marie Lucie Uvilluq, Mina Pearce, Nutura Kenneally, and Jay Arnakak who helped out with the terminology development, to Dr. Patrick Arcache who provided the French translations, and to Dr. Susan Sammons, Linguist, who participated and provided valuable assistance during our terminology development workshops. Special thanks are also due to Marja Korhonen for editing the manuscript.
