Description
Do you want to know how to use the French prepositions avec, pour, sur, dans, en and par? Do you want to know the difference between afin de, en vue de and pour, or en rapport avec and en lien avec? Do you want to know which prepositions go with verbs like accaparer, divorcer, relaxer, redire? Would you like to learn how to translate the preposition for + noun or gerund into French? And especially: would you like to know where to find the answers to all these questions and more? Then this intensive half-day workshop is for you!

Translators, revisers and other language professionals.
Prerequisite
The participants must already be involved in translating or revising texts from English to French.
Language
The workshop is given in French; however, the participants are encouraged to make comments and ask questions in English or French, as they wish.
Learning objectives
Upon completion of the workshop, participants will:
- Be able to use the right preposition with verbs including accaparer, divorcer, relaxer and redire;
- Know how to avoid using English sentence structure when translating prepositions with, for and to into French;
- Be aware of the correct use of simple prepositions like avec, pour, sur and par;
- Be able to select the language tools that will help them find the right preposition.
